The day Maldives embraced Islam

We bring you greetings of the day Maldives embraced Islam. The hospital wishes to inform that all Specialist OPDs and Administration will be closed on Tuesday 2 Raby` al-aakhir 1434 A.H. on the ocassion of this public holiday. However, emergency and IPD services will operate as usual. In cases of real emergencies where specialist services are needed, our on call specialists will be made available.
 

Drowning: an increasing danger for visitors to Maldives

In 2010, 13 tourists were brought dead with 11 males and 2 females. In 2011, the number increased to 15 drowning deaths with 10 males and 5 females. In 2012, up to 2 December 2012, 20 deaths were brought with 16 males and 4 females. The graph below illustrates this information.
 

Continuing Medical Education - Multi Drug Resistant Organisms, Control and Treatment

ADK Hospital in partnership with Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), India is going to conduct a CME session on Multi drug resistant organisms, control and treatment, on February 8, 2013.
 

Patient Engagement Program - Breast Cancer Awareness

As part of the patient engagement component of the Quality Improvement Strategy, activities for patients are planned to be carried out by the ADK Hospital. The activities will be in the form of presentations on important and common illnesses, with a focus on how patients can contribute to preventing and managing their illnesses.

  • Celebrating Nurses Day Events 2024

    May 12, 2024 - Nurses day events every year is held to honor the dedication and hard work of nurses around the world. We, at ADK hospital, began the celebration of nurses’ week with a healthy home-made breakfast on 6th May 2024. Invitees from all the departments of the hospital took part in this event. The essence of the event was to uplift the spirit of inclusivity, appreciate nurses and their contributions while fostering a sense of community and well being within the nursing profession.

  • Celebrating Excellence: Highlights from the 11th Employee Performance Awards at ADK Hospital

    December 9, 2023 - ADK Hospital celebrated Annual Employee Performance Awards (EPA) at Ghiyasuddin International School. The Employee of the Year 2023 award was won by Ms. Seema Mohamed, Coordinator – Clinical Support Service, who received MVR. 15,000 cash prize and 5-nights holiday package for 2 people to experience the wonders of a Wild Life Safari in Kenya.
