Biography
Dr. Aishath Jeneena Amir is a Consultant in Ophthalmology at ADK Hospital with expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of eye conditions. After completing her MBBS, she served as a Senior Medical Officer at ADK Hospital for five years, where her interest in microsurgery inspired her to pursue a career in Ophthalmology.
She completed her four-year residency training in Ophthalmology at the Rizal Medical Eye Training Center in the Philippines, where she received comprehensive hands-on surgical training under the supervision of experienced faculty. During her residency, her research thesis was selected for presentation at the Asian Neuro-Ophthalmology Congress and was subsequently published. Dr. Jeneena is committed to advancing ophthalmic care in the Maldives by adopting modern technologies and expanding treatment options to provide high-quality, patient-centred eye care.
